Why does it take four hours to cook a batch of rolls?
We cook everything by hand, from scratch in our comissary kitchen. We make the dough fresh every morning, marinate the chicken slowly, and bake it all methodically—no shortcuts, no preservatives. We also prepare our chutneys from scratch every time. It's a process that takes time, but we believe that's what it takes to cook great-tasting, homemade food with clean ingredients.
When will my rolls be delivered?
Your rolls will arrive in 5-7 business days depending on where you live in the US.
When was my food cooked?
We cook your rolls as close to delivery as possible, so they’re fresh and haven’t been sitting around for weeks.
What makes your parathas a healthier choice than traditional ones?
We take a health-conscious approach to making our parathas, using cleaner ingredients and a lighter touch in the cooking process. Traditional parathas can be heavy, but we use only organic oil, and even then sparingly. This means our parathas are lighter, yet still golden and satisfying. You enjoy the same comforting flavor in a more wholesome way.
What inspired you to start Nawala?
We grew up in large families in Pakistan, where food was prepared with care. After moving to the U.S., we longed for the bold flavors of home but found that many options were unhealthy or lacked ingredient transparency. So, we decided to cook delicious, protein-packed rolls using organic ingredients—something we could enjoy every day and feel good about.
Our Standards
Are all your ingredients truly organic?
Yes, except for salt and baking powder where organic versions do not exist.
Is your meat Halal-certified?
Yes it is!
Do you use any preservatives or additives?
Not at all. We believe in no shortcuts and no compromises. That's why we use no preservatives, artificial additives or stabilizers—just pure, organic ingredients that you can trust.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Our shipping boxes and insulation liners are made from recycled materials and can be recycled curbside. Our parchment paper is compostable. The only piece we’re still working on is our pouches, which aren’t recyclable yet, but we’re exploring better options.

Yes, we ship nationwide to all 48 contiguous states.

Dietary Preferences
Are your rolls spicy?
Yes. Our rolls are packed with South Asian flavors, which include a delightful mix of regional spices. We see our spice level as matching the spicy option at South Asian restaurants.
Do you have allergen information available?
Yes, we do. We list all ingredients and common allergens on our packaging and website. If you have specific concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out—we're happy to help.
Preparation and Storage
How do I prepare the rolls?
Our rolls arrive frozen fresh. To enjoy, remove them from the pouch but keep the parchment paper on. Microwave for 1.5 minutes, flip, then microwave for another 1.5 minutes. You may need an extra 30 seconds to a minute depending on the wattage of your microwave. Please be careful—the rolls can get hot. How should I store the rolls?
Simply keep them in your freezer until you're ready to enjoy. They'll stay fresh and delicious, ready whenever you need a satisfying meal.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Although the shelf-life of our rolls is extensive, we recommend enjoying them within three months of being received when kept frozen.

We understand things don’t always go as planned, and we truly value your satisfaction. Because our products are perishable, we aren’t able to offer returns or refunds.
